This year's forum will be our 10th, marking a decade of giving due recognition and prominence to public policy as a function in corporate India.

It is a joyous occasion for all public policy professionals, as our proud association with PAFI completes 10 years. PAFI has been instrumental in shaping numerous policies and guiding professionals to achieve meaningful changes. This year's theme- "India@2030" for the PAFI Annual Forum is apt, as the government and industry prepare to reiterate India's global leadership. As we embark on this new phase of our journey, I look forward to meeting and interacting with Industry leaders during the PAFI's 10th Annual Forum.

Over the last decade, the PAFI Annual Forum has evolved as a premier platform for policy professionals across multiple sectors and functions to meet with senior policymakers and get an insight into their vision and thought process. It also allows ample opportunities for networking, exchanging best practices, and meeting industry colleagues in a stimulating and friendly environment. It's the definitive go-to event every year which no practitioner of the craft should miss.

I am excited to see how PAFI has evolved over the last 10 years with immense support from the industry. What makes PAFI unique is the diversity of our initiatives and participation. The Annual Forum, PAFI Dialogues and PAFI Annual Lectures with thought leaders are milestone events. We started with a small group and now have over 100 member organisations from across industry sectors. PAFI has played a pivotal role in bringing together industry, governments, academia and other important stakeholders. Through this association, we have been able to foster a healthy and professional policy advocacy environment.

We started this forum as a very small entity about 15 years back. About 10 years back we formalised it and it has grown to a wonderful stature with more than 100 members and top-notch companies in the country. We are actively contributing to the advocacy space in the country. Looking ahead, we intend to grow at a much faster pace considering the membership base that we have. We are certainly going to be contributing to a lot of growth within the government circles. We are recognised as a leading voice in advocacy.

It has been a hugely exciting journey since the first annual conference, which launched PAFI's dream to become the go-to association for all stakeholders in the larger policy space. Today, PAFI is a platform of choice, but the journey continues as we build further, deeper and engage with an even larger number of stakeholders.

The PAFI Annual Forum has grown exponentially in size and content over the years. This flagship event of PAFI has been a great platform to network and is a wonderful sounding board for ideas on policy formulation. It brings together the complete stakeholder universe in one room, for public policy professionals to interact and exchange their thoughts. The 10th edition will set the tone for greater dialogue between industry and other stakeholders on issues of importance to industry for the next decade.

Every Annual Forum has been engaging and insightful but what made each one stand out was the candid discussion we had each time with policy makers as well as each other. We were clear about what we needed to take head-on and how to make our growth more inclusive. I remember thinking at one point, 'What will it take for 'panels' to truly become inclusive?' Soon enough, every panel of speakers in our national forum became more balanced- be it Secretaries, CEOs, ministers, or moderators. That became the way we do things at PAFI, and today we have stronger participation of public affairs practitioners, a cross-generation of men and women who are sailing and steering the PAFI ship. I eagerly look forward to our 10th PAFI national forum.

PAFI as an association has grown from strength to strength over the last many years. The Annual Forum is one of our marquee events, and it's tremendous to see the kind of participation it brings in today. I still remember the first few forums that we were a part of. There were much smaller groups and closer group discussions. We probably had a senior marquee minister or senior government representative come in to address the group. Today it gives us so much joy to see the extent of participation having grown not just in numbers, but in even in terms of the different sectors and backgrounds that are delegates come from. We have central level, senior ministers, CEOs, leaders of corporate India, policymakers, strategists, communication experts and heads, think tanks, academia and even young students actively participating. We're delighted that we can bring to you a forum which is today a truly great platform to have in-depth discussions and dialogue on what's shaping India's future growth.
