Lakshmi Kanchaan

Lakshmi joined Public Affairs Forum of India in 2012.

With more than 25 years’ experience, she has held management positions at Hewlett-Packard India in several functions, with her last 10 years in HP as Head of Company Communications, Branding & Philanthropy, for HP entities in the country. Her primary contribution was in the area of Media Relations & PR Services to the leadership team and managed several complex and challenging projects, including company re-structuring, HP/Agilent split, HP Compaq merger etc.

Her core responsibilities included Media Relations & PR Services, Brand Management & Corporate Marcom Services, Employee Communications, Country web-site management, Sponsorships, Corporate Philanthropy Grants and Community Relations. She has managed several complex and challenging projects such as Company re-structuring, HP’s e-Services launch, HP/Agilent split, Y2K Command center, visits of HP CEO and Chairman and for the HP/Compaq merger, was a member of the AP Clean Room and the Integration Team.

As an independent consultant, she has provided support to prestigious corporations like illycaffè, American College of Physicians (ACP), TIBCO, Movico Technologies, to name a few.

Lakshmi received her PG Diploma from the London School of PR.
