First meeting of Digital Tech Council

The first meeting of the PAFI Digital Tech Council was held in New Delhi on 20 July 2023 under the Chatham House Rule. The agenda and focus of the council were discussed between members. The members decided that the council would:

  2. Invite subject matter experts to focus on one or two broad issues for the membership.
  3. Build positions by aligning PAFI Digital Tech Council as a trusted partner with the government’s digital agenda aimed at building capacity. It would also provide policy inputs where consensus is possible.

The discussion was followed by a presentation by Vivan Sharan, Partner, Koan Advisory, titled India Digital Governance Outlook 2023-24.

The presentation and discussion were followed by a second presentation. Amb. Arun Kumar Singh, former ambassador to the United States, spoke on India-U.S. technology cooperation and the Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (ICET) between the two countries.
