First Task Force meeting of Young PAFI

The first meeting of Young PAFI was convened virtually on 4 August 2023.
The meeting was chaired by Medha Girotra, Treasurer, PAFI and was attended by 20 young professionals from member firms.
The vision, objective and approach of Young PAFI were presented by Medha.

  • The Vision:
    To grow and nurture a community of informed young leaders in public affairs, capable of navigating complexities, and building a responsible and impactful policy engagement.
  • Three key pillars identified under the Young PAFI Initiative are – Awareness I Education I Career Pathing.
  • Awareness:
    Sessions on public affairs within academic institutions that offer policy as a specialisation, enabling talented individuals in making informed career choices.
  • Education:
    Capacity building of early-mid career public policy professionals equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to grow their careers.
  • Career Pathing:
    Mentoring and coaching of young public affairs professionals, helping them forge successful careers in this field.
  • Initiatives under Awareness and Education will be designed and rolled out through the year. Programs under Education and Career Pathing will be designed as per needs of PAFI member companies. Career Pathing will be a 1:1 ongoing engagement, where senior professionals will mentor young professionals.
  • It was an interactive meeting and participants shared their views and suggestions.
  • The next meeting of Young PAFI will be held in the third week of September 2023.
