Deep Pal has over 20 years of experience in policy analysis, academic research, communication, and project management. As Director at PAFI, he is responsible for leveraging the organization’s collective expertise and experience to strengthen intellectual and material capacity. Deep works closely with PAFI’s leadership to engage with members in industry and government officials to enhance PAFI’s reputation as a reliable, trusted, and unbiased platform on critical issues important to our stakeholders.
Before joining PAFI, Deep worked with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, leading research on Indian foreign policy and regional geopolitical and geoeconomic issues. Deep has collaborated with institutions such as Ashoka University, the National Bureau of Asian Research, and the Center for Strategic and International Studies. He frequently contributes to publications, including the Indian Express, Hindustan Times, Foreign Policy, and Diplomat.
Deep started as a journalist and has worked with major Indian television channels, including Aaj Tak, CNBC Awaaz, and Times Now.
He has a Ph.D. in International Studies from the University of Washington, United States.
