Rishi Chawla is a senior public affairs and corporate affairs leader with over 26 years of experience at the intersection of policy, business, sustainability, and strategic communications. He currently serves as Vice President – Corporate Affairs at Carlsberg India, where he is a member of the India Leadership Team and leads government relations, policy advocacy, communications, sustainability, and CSR. Over the course of his career, he has worked extensively with central and state governments, industry bodies, and business leadership to shape enabling policy environments, strengthen stakeholder trust, and advance responsible business practices in highly regulated sectors.
Before joining Carlsberg, he held senior leadership roles at Philips Lighting India & South Asia, Samsung, IBM India, Vodafone, and Cable & Wireless, building deep expertise across telecom, technology, manufacturing, lighting, and consumer-facing industries. He has served as the Founding Director of National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI).
Currently Rishi serves in significant industry and governance capacities, including as Managing Committee Member of Public Affairs Forum of India, Vice President and Governing Council Member of UN Global Compact Network India and Chair of the European Business Group’s Delhi Chapter, while contributing to platforms such as FICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM, the Brewers Association of India, the Indo-Danish Business Association, Federation of European Businesses in India etc. His work reflects a practitioner’s perspective on regulatory reform, ESG, climate and circular economy agendas, and the broader role of institutional leadership in aligning commercial growth with long-term public value.
