As part of PAFI’s Experiential Learning Series, members recently visited the campus of Ashoka University at Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Sonipat, for an engaging and insightful exchange.

The visit offered participants a deeper understanding of Ashoka’s pioneering approach to holistic liberal arts education—rooted in multidisciplinary learning, critical thinking, and impactful communication. Members also gained perspective on the university’s diverse and inclusive academic environment, comprising students from across India and around the world, guided by distinguished faculty.

A key highlight of the visit was an interactive session with the university’s senior leadership, where discussions centered on the evolving landscape of higher education and its intersection with public policy and governance.

Members also took part in a guided campus walk, experiencing firsthand the university’s thoughtfully designed academic and residential spaces, vibrant student life, and collaborative learning environment. The walk provided a tangible sense of Ashoka’s ethos and its commitment to fostering a holistic educational experience.

The visit also included a guided exploration of the Archives of Contemporary India, an exceptional repository within Ashoka’s library that preserves and showcases the country’s intellectual and cultural history through an extensive collection of archival
material. 

On the sidelines, select participants attended an exclusive book discussion, the discussion brought together contributors to share insights on India’s policy landscape and future direction.
