The session explored how industry, government, and public affairs professionals can collaboratively shape a resilient and innovation-led growth agenda.
The session featured Ms. Ann Weeks, Vice President, Public Affairs, UL Solutions, and Dr. Rajeev Ranjan, Former Secretary, Government of India, in conversation with Vishwanath TS, Founding Member, Past President, PAFI, and Founder, VeK.
Ms. Weeks shared four key pillars for building trust and emphasised the important role of public affairs professionals in bringing the right stakeholders to the table—enabling constructive dialogue, alignment, and practical solutions.
Dr. Ranjan underscored the need for industry to look beyond immediate priorities and adopt a long-term, strategic approach to trust and growth. He highlighted standards development as a critical lever for shaping the future, urging industry to engage more proactively with government in co-creating standards that are forward-looking.
Maj Ranjeet Goswami, Vice President, PAFI and Global Head, Corporate Affairs, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), delivered the opening and closing remarks, setting the context for a forward-looking discussion on trust, safety, and market access with Sudhir Zutshi, Director - Policy and Strategy, Asia Pacific, UL Solutions, introducing Ann to the PAFI community.
The dialogue reinforced an important message: trust is not built through transactions alone—it is built through sustained engagement, credible institutions, shared standards, and collaborative problem-solving. As India enters its next growth decade, such conversations are essential to strengthening the interface between business, government, and society.
